A bulla is a lump of clay pressed with a seal, hardened by the fire that destroyed the archive it secured. They are the size of a coin and they carry names.
Several bear names also known from the book of Jeremiah. The temptation is to announce the man. The discipline is to ask three questions first.

A clay seal impression is a small thing. Its evidentiary weight depends entirely on where it was found.
