About The Crozier Report
A crozier is a shepherd’s staff. Its crook draws the sheep back to safety; its shod foot drives off the wolf. A publication that does only one of those leaves its readers half-served. So we do both, in one place, under one masthead.
We report on what happens inside the church. Financial misconduct, abuse and its cover-ups, false teaching, false prophets, and the men who traffic in them. Where the record exists, we publish it — filings, settlements, bank records, internal letters — on the Evidence Desk, so readers can weigh the evidence themselves rather than take our word for it.
We also make the positive case. The historical evidence for the resurrection, the arguments for the existence of God, the reliability of Scripture, and the archaeological record. Knowing who not to trust is only half of what a Christian reader needs. The other half is knowing what is true.
Our standards
- Documents first
- We do not run an allegation on a single anonymous account. Claims of misconduct are corroborated by a document, a sworn statement, or two independent sources with direct knowledge.
- Right of reply
- Every person and institution named in an investigation is put on notice of the specific findings before publication and given a reasonable window to respond. Their response runs in the piece.
- Provenance disclosed
- Each record on the Evidence Desk carries a note on how it reached us and what we did to authenticate it. Where a term of receipt limits what we can publish, we say so.
- Source protection
- We do not disclose confidential sources. Documents are examined for tracking markers and, where necessary, re-typeset before publication.
- Corrections in the open
- Errors are corrected at the top of the piece with the date and the substance of the change. We do not quietly edit the record.
- Charity in the argument
- In apologetics we state the strongest version of the opposing case, distinguish what the evidence establishes from what it merely permits, and refuse to overclaim on behalf of the faith.

If you have documents — a board minute, a settlement, a ledger, a letter you were told to destroy — write to tips@crozierreport.org. Use a personal device and a personal account, not one belonging to the ministry. We will not publish anything that identifies you without your consent.
